Upcoming Community Events:

March 16, 2019: Tenino Band Boosters
The Tenino Band Boosters will be hosting their second annual mattress sale fundraising event
     at Tenino High School.

April 20, 2019: Earth Day Celebration in the Tenino City Park
The PARC Foundation of Thurston County, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, is working with our
own Friends of Tenino Parks community group to organize an Earth Day Challenge in support
of the schools within the Tenino School District (both elementary schools, the middle school,
     and the high school).

Within the Tenino School district, the student group that provides the most student/parent
volunteers receives a financial award to their designated group or association (i.e. Associated
Student Body (ASB), Student Body Association (SBA), or Student Parent Teacher Association
     (SPTA), etc.).

1st Place: $500 for the school with the most registered volunteers the day of the event.
There will also be a cash prize for the first runner up.

Our goal is to raise the awareness of environmental issues by getting individuals out into
the local parks for volunteer cleanups and to enjoy the outdoors.

The link to the Official Event Flyer will be posted here when available.  The awards are
sponsored by the Lions Clubs of Thurston County and OBEE Credit Union.  The Tenino Lions
Club will be providing refreshments for participants at the Quarry House in the City Park.

This event was a major success last year, with the first and second prizes split between
Parkside Elementary and the Middle School. Come out and support this great community
     building event.

The Circus is coming to Tenino! The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is a tented, one-ring
circus. No seat is further than 40 feet away from the ring, so you don't have to worry about
missing any of the action! The performance includes lots of classic and unique circus acts
including trapeze, unicycles, contortion, tight wire, clowns, performing animals and much,
much more!  Check with them to see where their ticket outlets are in town. The circus box
office will open one hour before each show. The midway will also be open at that time.
Weather permitting, we have pony rides, a 22 ft. inflatable slide and a colorful carousel
moonbounce. We offer a concession stand with all of your favorite circus treats including
popcorn, cotton candy (individual size and a family value size), peanuts, Coke products,
nachos, hot dogs and snow cones.

Brought to you by the Tenino Area Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber will start selling
discount advance tickets in town (likely Hedden's and Tenino Market Fresh) about 3
weeks before the day of the circus. Click here for more information about the circus.
